Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program
ASM was approved to participate in the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts – (MyCAA) program. Effective Mid-May 2009, Military Spouses can receive up to $6,000 of financial assistance that will help to pay for licenses, certifications and education in high growth, high demand portable career fields. Who is eligible?

• Spouses of Reserve Service Members

ASM Releases Windows Server 2008 Certification Courses
ASM is releasing 3 new certification courses related to Microsoft Windows Server 2008: MCITP Server Administrator 2008, MCITP Enterprise Administrator 2008 and MCITP Enterprise Support Technician. ASM is releasing the Enterprise version in 2 convenient ways: the whole course or an upgrading version for those already MCITP Server Administrator certified.

ARMY Vocational/Technical (AVOTEC) Soldier Program
ASM Educational Center, Inc. (ASM) is proud to participate in the Army Vocational/Technical (AVOTEC) Soldier pilot program. ASM is one of only three approved schools (as of 3-23-09) in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area to take part in this program. Soldiers from anywhere in the USA or abroad can participate in this program and take training classes at ASM. Effective 1 March, Soldiers can use the AVOTEC Program to pay for Certification/Licensure. To enroll for Certification/Licensure follow the simple procedures as outlined in "AVOTEC Soldier enrollment process" . Congress has selected the Army to participate in an education pilot program designed to provide expanded education opportunities for Soldiers, officers and Wounded Warriors serving on active duty -- to include National Guard and Reserve Soldiers on extended active duty. The intent of this short-term pilot program is to provide training in high-demand career fields to help Soldiers find employment after they transition out of the Army. However, this is not a Veteran's program; THIS IS A PROGRAM FOR ACTIVE DUTY SOLDIERS ONLY.

Funding for the pilot program began March 1, 2009, and will end on September 30, 2009. Soldiers need to be enrolled and approved in technical school programs prior to 30 September 2009. The program can continue after 30 September 2009 as long as the Soldier has enrolled and has received notification of approval.

Administered by ACES (the Army Continuing Education System), the AVOTEC program provides $4500 per fiscal year for active duty service members. For those that qualify for AVOTEC, the tuition for ASM courses is adjusted to $4500. Therefore, if you qualify for AVOTEC funding your tuition will be 100% covered by ASM for any training that is over $4500 (some limitations apply). ASM is honored to be offering this special “AVOTEC Scholarship” to our great men and women who bravely serve our country in active duty capacity.
