- The Contract with multiple job openings is to support a project at the Department of Homeland Security.
- Employment will be with a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) who is subcontracted to CSC (Computer Science Corporation).
- SDVOB has already WON the contract.
- These job postings are for FULL time employment; not a contractor.
- Contract is for one year with option to extend for a total of 5 years.
- There are additional job openings for this extensive Department of Homeland Security contract. Stay tuned for more job opening announcements.

Job Openings at the Department of Homeland Security
Network Architect - 5 Openings
Compensation
for each candidate under this classification is up to $105K to $125K
Responsibilities and Duties:
Architect, Develop, Design and Integrate complex client network solutions with high-level One-Net Architecture and strategy.
Responsible for the Design of the network architecture, network infrastructure and plans and designs LAN/WAN wireless solutions.
Responsible for leading and directing an implementation team for deployment of moderately complex networks in extremely high visibility, mission critical sites for the client’s program.
Create detailed network designs that meet the customer requirements (including physical and logical) of moderately complex network systems (and wireless) to meet the functional network of the business.
Responsible for product engineering design of client equipment (including survey report output and reviews).
Analyze client existing network and infrastructure to determine what equipment can be re-used and create bill of materials for those items that are determined to be EOL.
Create specification of the as-built network co-ordinate network turnover to the customer.
Experience:
5 years of government Experience is preferred.
5 years of Network Experience is required.
Education: Bachelors. CCNP certification or equivalent experience is mandatory.
Special/Unique Skills:
Candidate should expect to have extensive travel to any of the client’s sites in the United States, Canada and Caribbean.
Network Team Lead - 5 Openings
Compensation for each candidate under this classification is
up to
$105K to $125K
Responsibilities and duties:
Lead a team in the installation /implementation of new redundant networks at client sites.
Configure on-site Cisco 45XX and 3750 switches to be installed. In a layer 3 environment, full redundant network.
Update and re-configure switches currently installed at sites to a new layer 3 environment incorporate in the new network designs.
Test newly installed network for operation and full redundancy. Perform fail-over testing of the WAN connection.
Install, configure and test Cisco 1522 WiFi equipment
Create as built document for the entire newly installed network.
Troubleshoot and perform problem resolution.
Experience: 5-10 years
in Network Architect/design, network management and communication to client’s technical team.
-Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certification, troubleshooting and diagnostic, network performance tuning, architect/design, NW Administration including installation, configuration and security, development of monitoring processes, capacity planning.
Education: Bachelors.
Cisco CCNP Certification or equivalent is mandatory.
CCNP certification validates a network professional’s ability to install, configure and troubleshoot converged local and wide area networks with 100 to 500 network or more nodes. Network professionals with the CCNP certification have demonstrated the knowledge and skills required to install and manage the router and switches that form the network core as well as edge applications that integrates voice, wireless, and security into the network.
Cisco CCIE Certification is preferred.
Unique Skills/Requirement:
Candidate should expect to travel extensively to any of the clients sites within the U.S., Canada, or the Caribbean.
Network Team Member - 5 Openings
Compensation for each candidate under this classification is
up to $71,500.00
Responsibilities and duties:
Assist the Team Lead with the Installation / implementation of new redundant network at client’s site.
Configure on-site Cisco 45XX and 3750 switches to be installed in a layer 3 environment, full redundant network.
Update and reconfigure switches currently installed at sites to a new layer 3 environment incorporated in the new network designs

Cisco CCNA Certification
Unique Skills/Other Requirements:
Candidate should expect to travel extensively to any of the client’s sites within the United States, Canada or the Caribbean. Candidate should also be local to the Washington DC area, since travel to Bethesda may be required.
Network Design Architect - 5 Openings
Compensation for each candidate under this classification is
up to $88,000.00
Responsibilities and duties:
Provide requirements and document NW Designs definition.
Create advanced addressing and routing, security, network management, and IP networking and wireless and satellite design and implementation.
Planning and installation of bandwidth for enterprise performance and capacity panning.
Work Location in Bethesda, MD occasional travel to client’s site throughout the U.S. may be required. (Approximately 20% travel.
Experience: 5 years Hand-on Cisco skills, configuring routers and switches. Experience with performances diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Education: Bachelors
CCNA certification is mandatory.

Network Implementation Engineer - 1 Opening
Compensation for each candidate under this classification is
up to $82,500.00
Responsibilities and duties:
The incumbent will provide complete support for level 3 maintenance of all network equipment including Production systems/Non-Production systems. This person reports directly to the Network Team lead and responds to support requirements outlined in Change Requests (CR), Product Trouble Reports (PTR) and Trouble Tickets (TT). This position is assigned to a standard workweek of Monday-Friday, 0800-1700 daily with rotational 24x7 on-call support for after- hours level 3 support and schedule alterations to accommodate evening, weekend maintenance windows or as needed by program management. Occasional travel to customer sites for maintenance and disaster recover activities.
- Prepare Implementation Plans for work relating to Change Requests (CR), Product Trouble Reports (PTR) and Trouble Tickets (TT). Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and engineering support for all Network equipment.
- Maintain and update information in databases relating to equipment configurations, firewall rules, ACLs, and routing information.
- Configure Network related devices such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls Infoblox DNS servers and TACACS.
- Prepare status reports, as required, outlining NW maintenance activities being supported, planned activities and identifying risks or issues relating to the network.
- Responsible for managing all network devices (routers, FW, switches, NAM, IDS, CSM, SSL etc.),. This responsibility includes the configuration, reconfiguration, software upgrade of between 250 to 300 network devices in the 9 ACE network strings, plus the Light-blue/back-office and Yellow networks
- Manage the ACE IP address database for all ACE strings and the Back-Office environment. The daily work involves assigning IP addresses for various Servers (Unix/Windows) and their VIPs, Cisco switches, PIX and Symantec firewalls, IP reach devices, TACACS server, DNS-servers, VLANs, static addresses for any back-office printers, workstation, fax ,etc., and assigning of any network-to-network connectivity addresses, etc. that is required.
Required:
7+ years of experience with Cisco switching/routing/firewall and/or
7+ years of experience in network administration and system engineering
Nice to have:
3+ years of experience in UNIX/AIX.
3+ years of experience in System & Application Test. Bachelors required, Computer Networking or related discipline strongly preferred
Help Desk - 1 Opening
Compensation for each candidate under this classification is
up to $75,667.00

FBI selects ASM once again to get 13 of their agents trained
In May 2007, ASM was elected to deliver Cisco authorized CCNA training to a group of 13 agents from FBI. They
attended training in small groups of 3 to 5 students
(flexible scheduling) and we are proud to announce that all

What happened to lucky winner of July Scholarship drawing?
