On 08/15/2007 Cisco® updated the content of CCNP® (Cisco® Certified Network Professional) Certification. ASM wants to clarify some important facts about how this could affect students that are currently under training or preparation for CCNP® Exams.
The main goal of Cisco® with such changes is to include Advance Technologies and integrate the next and emerging generation network platform Cisco® products. Two new courses, ISCW and ONT, will replace BCRAN and CIT. They are significantly different and are invaluable additions to the CCNP® Certification. BSCI and BCMSN were also updated (from version 2.2 to 3.0).
The old curriculum is composed by BSCI v2.2, BCMSN v2.2, BCRAN and CIT. Students can register for the old exams until 11/15/2006 and take the exam until 12/31/2006. Students will be able to mix & match courses so long as they complete the whole program and pass one of the current program courses or its equivalent. The guiding criteria are that CCNP® will still require 4 exams.
ASM will offer only the new content CCNP® Curriculum for the new students of our Cisco® CCNP® Certification Training. If you are in the middle of your CCNP® certification acquiring process and want (or need) to take one or more new exams, contact us and we will lead you to the best and shortest way to accomplish your objectives.
