Cisco® DCNI2

Overview: In our Cisco Data Center Networking Infrastructure-2 (DCNI-2) training program students will learn how to implement an enterprise Data Center routing and switching infrastructure with the next-generation Cisco Nexus 7000 and 5000 platforms. This course provides a technical overview of the Nexus platform architecture, deployment, and operations, including Virtual Device Contexts, Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, QoS, and security. Students will explore the features of NX-OS and the Nexus platform by performing hands-on labs.

Who should attend:

The primary audience is formed of individuals involved in the technical handling of Cisco platforms and solutions, namely installing, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting. The decision to cover only these areas is somewhat arbitrary, because many people with Cisco certifications are called on to provide advice in network planning and design as well. In this course, the target audience will be referred to generically as “technicians.”

The Cisco® DCNI2 Authorized Training

Prerequisite: The following courses are recommended prerequisites for students attending the Implementing Cisco Data Center Networking Infrastructure 2 course:

Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND1) or equivalent
Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND2) or equivalent
Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN) or equivalent.

Description: The Implementing Cisco Data Center Networking Infrastructure 2 (DCNI-2) is a five-day instructor-led course with lab exercises that are intended to prepare students for the certification exam 642-974. The course schedule consists of approximately 50% lecture and 50% lab exercises. The Delivery Lab for this course is accessed using a remote access procedure coupled with a GUI application that provides connectivity to all lab devices.
