Overview: Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis and Response System (MARS) control real security threats and provides security monitoring for network security devices and host applications made by Cisco and other providers.

• Greatly reduce false positives by providing an end-to-end view of the network
• Define the most effective mitigation responses by understanding the configuration and topology of your environment
• Promote awareness of environmental anomalies with Network Behaviour Analysis using NetFlow
• Provide quick and easy access to audit compliance reports with more than 150 ready-to-use customizable reports
• Make precise recommendations for threat removal, including the ability to visualize the attack path and identify the source of the threat with detailed topological graphs that simplify security response at Layer 2 and above.

Cisco Security MARS and Cisco Security Manager are part of the Cisco Security Management Suite, which delivers policy administration and enforcement for the Cisco Self-Defending Network.

Prerequisite: We strongly advice the students to acquire good networking knowledge before trying this certification, specially: - Fundamental knowledge of implementing network security; - CCSP or Security CQS and working knowledge of routing and switching; - CCNA.

Description: The Cisco® MARS® Authorized Training focuses on lab classes using version v4.2.1 (2249) of the MARS product. Cisco Security MARS extends the portfolio of security management products for the Cisco Self-Defending Network initiative. Cisco Security MARS offers a family of high-performance, scalable appliances for threat management, monitoring, and mitigation, enabling customers to make more effective use of network and security devices. Cisco Security MARS combines network intelligence, context correlation, vector analysis, anomaly detection, hotspot identification, and automated mitigation capabilities. The result is a system that helps customers to readily and accurately identify, manage, and eliminate network attacks and maintain network security compliance.
